Color Block Knit Scarf

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well. Today, I have a super simple color block scarf pattern to share with you!

  1.  Lion Brand Hometown Yarn in Chicago Charcoal (1 Skein)
  2.  Lion Brand Hometown Yarn in Los Angeles Tan (2 Skeins)

  1. Cast on 20 (gray)
  2. Knit stitch for 36 rows (10 inches)
  3. Switch to cream colored yarn and knit stitch for 193 rows (52 inches)
  4. Switch back to gray yarn and knit stitch for 36 rows (10 inches).
  5. Cast off
  6. Use a yarn needle to weave in all of the loose pieces of yarn and cut off excess string.

  1. Cut out 44 13-inch strings in the gray colored yarn.
  2. With the scarf wrong side up, use a crochet hook and insert the hook into the last stitch that you made, pull through the middle part of 2 of the strings just enough so that you can pull the 4 ends of the string around and through the loop you created
  3. Repeat step 8 in every other stitch at the end until you have 10 sets of fringe. Then repeat this process on the opposite end of the scarf.
  4. Once you have added all the fringe, use the scissors to make sure the fringe is even all the way across.

I have created a free downloadable PDF version that provides some more detail so definitely check that out. I also have these scarfs up on my etsy if you prefer not to knit it yourself. I really hope you enjoyed this pattern, but please comment below if you have any questions.

Thanks for reading!
