I’ve noticed that a lot of women are trying out Stitch Fix or similar companies. I read a bunch of reviews for different delivery boxes and just didn’t feel dedicated enough to spend the money on a styling fee. But, I really love the idea of having a bunch of clothes delivered to my house to try out, so I decided to make my own selections from Amazon Prime. I first had this idea when I ordered two dresses from 6pm, which had amazing deals, but I was upset when one of the dresses was too big and I had to pay for return shipping. But, Amazon Prime is great because you get free shipping both ways and can be specific about your price range.
To start off, I’ve ordered a bunch of Volcom dresses and play suits (all under $30) to try out for the summer and loved a bunch of them. The first dress I ordered from 6pm (which I absolutely love) is the Volcom Salty Free Dress. It’s a little short, but I like it for the summer and it looks great with leggings. There is also a picture of the one I got down below. I’ll admit that I thought it would be black, but in reality I found it was a little more gray, which you can see when it’s next to the other items.
The dress that I had to return was the O’Neill Renee Dress, which looks super cute in this picture. I ordered it in a large, which was too big and I also wasn’t crazy about the way it was creased.
So, since I really loved that Volcom dress, I decided to order a bunch of Volcom items from Amazon Prime and here are the rest of the dresses and play suits that I have ordered. I ultimately decided to return 2 of the ones below.
So, the items in order from the left are:
Volcom Juniors Lived in Long Sleeve Dress>Volcom Junior’s Starfish Lace Dress, Grapefruit; Volcom Juniors Salty Free Dress; VOLCOM In My Lane Womens Romper, Black; Volcom Juniors on the Brink Romper, Auburn; and Volcom Junior’s Stampede Floral Print Cami Dress, Solid Navy
These were all in size medium and the size worked, except the Starfish dress was too tight around the chest and a little too short for me. I also really loved the On the Brink Romper, but I found a hole under the bottom button, so I had to return it.
Anyway, let me know what you think and if you have any recommendations for style boxes I could try out. For my future Amazon haul I hope to find some recommendations on different brands and styles to try. When I get a better camera, I will get a few pictures of what the next items look like on. Let me know what you think below!
